Lúc này Adam là half-brother của Jason.
Stepbrother
Khái niệm này dùng để chỉ về người mà trên danh nghĩa là anh/em của chúng ta nhưng hoàn toàn không có cùng dòng máu. Ví dụ ông John và Marie có con là Jason. Sau khi ly dị ông John lấy một người vợ mới là Julia. Bà Julia trước đây đã kết hôn và đã có 1 người con tên Nathan. Xét về mối quan hệ, Jason và Nathan không có cùng huyết thống, họ là anh em chỉ bởi vì ông John và Julia kết hôn với nhau. Lúc này Nathan là step-brother của Jason.
