These two expressions are used to announce good news. It tells people that you are pleased, or happy to give the good news. For example:
- I’m pleased to tell you that you have passed the exam with the highest score
- I’m pleased to tell you that we will move to a new office next month.
3. I’m happy to inform you that
This expression basically means the same thing as number 1. “To inform” is “to tell”, this is formal way to give good news. For example:
- I’m happy to inform you that your proposal has been accepted.
- We are happy to inform you that the computer system will soon be upgraded.
4. I have a bit of good news for you.
This expression is a direct way to inform people of good news. In English, we don’t say “a good news”, we use “ a bit of good news” or “a piece of good news” instead. For example:
- I have a bit of good news for you. We’re going to spend this summer vacation in China.
5. I have got some good news for you
This expression is similar to number 4. For example:
- I have got some good news for you. The sales this year is better than we expected.
6. I have some amazing/fantastic news for you!
This phrase is used to emphasize on the importance and greatness of the news you are about to give. It also shows how excited you are when giving the news. For example:
- I have some amazing news for you! Your sister is pregnant!
- I have some fantastic news for you! Dad bought you a new car!
